to achieve the best from the market. I know you’re

‘I’ve only written articles so far,’ he
continues. ‘Back in the 1990s I did quite a few for
Steamworld.
‘More recently I’ve had one in Best of British
– it’s not strictly a railway magazine but is
about general nostalgia – about the Lickey Incline,
which is near me.’
Having recently completed work as a research assistant on
the Internet database Clergy of the Church of England (website:
www.kcl.ac.uk/humanities/cch/cce),
Clem got the idea for a book he would like to write.
‘I’d like to write a history of the vicars of
my local church, between 1540 and 1835. I don’t think
it’s likely to be published elsewhere,’ he says.
‘But I’m too busy writing articles at the moment!’
