Charity booster

A short story written by a Hertfordshire subscriber, Matthew Cox, recently appeared in an anthology that was published to raise money for Sight Savers International. The charity carries out operations to relieve blindness in some of the world’s poorest countries and sales of the book are progressing well since its publication in May.

The project was the idea of London marketing executive, Jo Parker, who gathered eleven stories from a diverse range of people living in and around London and published them in the collection There’s a Book Inside Everyone. The stories cover a broad range of themes including relationships, travel, humour, life and death.

All profits go to Sight Savers International and the enthusiastic response has left the team considering a repeat project in the future.
