Plonk travels

Member Jacquelynn Luben, author of autobiographical book The Fruit of the Tree moved into fiction some time ago and has written at least 50 short stories, many shortlisted in Writers’ News. Now she has brought out a novella, A Bottle of Plonk, published by Goldenford Publishers
(www.goldenford.co.uk).

The book follows the travels of a bottle of wine which is passed from one character to another and somehow manages to remain unconsumed.

Originally from London, Surrey-based author Jacquelynn has published two successful non-fiction books The Fruit of the Tree, (http://freespace.virgin.net/jackie.luben) and a self-help book, both describing her experience of cot death – and many articles. Her second novel is complete and waiting in the wings.

Since 2002, when, as a mature student, she gained a degree from Surrey University, with a dissertation on the Harry Potter series and other children’s books, she has been working on her third novel.

Recently featured on Radio Southern Counties’ Drivetime, her choice of record was Mrs Robinson – a role model for all women over 40 who do not want to be invisible.

A Bottle of Plonk can be obtained from Goldenford Publishers Ltd, The Old Post Office, 130 Epsom Road, Guildford, GU1 2PX, or from the website, at a discount price of £5.99 plus £1.50 p&p.
