Poetry in print
Subscriber Carol Midwood, Stourbridge,
West Midlands, has found a publisher for her first poetry
collection, a decade after she completed it.
Carol's sequence of poems about a couple, Edna and Arthur,
who live in the Black Country, has been picked for publication
by Dudley independent Kates Hill Press. 'The editor, Greg
Stokes, heard me reading the poems on Laurence Hipkiss's
weekly Black Country podcasting show [a broadcast similar
to a radio show but which is downloaded from the Internet
to a computer or MP3 player] and he contacted me the same
week,' she says. 'My illustrated anthology, entitled Edna
& Arthur, is now ready to ¨ I hope ¨ take the local
shops by storm!'
