| Lola Jaye is a counsellor
for the NHS and also runs the UPA (Unpublished Author) website,
www.upadiary.blogspot.com
She will shortly outgrow the site, however, as she has secured
a book deal with Harper Collins for her story By The Time You
Read This.
Lola has been keeping a blog of her progress from the early stages
of writing to the current exciting phase of seeing the work pay
off.
Starting in 2002, when she made the resolution to get published
(although this had been a goal of hers for longer than that),
the site captures the determination and ambition that have now
paid off, and her delight in the more recent entries at having
her book available to pre-order on Amazon. The blog will continue
to follow the different stages of being published.
The book itself revolves around ‘the manual’ which
is was written by the deceased father of protagonist Lois. Lois
is allowed to read one entry on her birthday each year until she
is thirty. The advice within guides her through all of life’s
challenges; school, adolescence, relationships and work, but she
finds that she will eventually have to find her own path if she
is to live the life she wants.
Lola has greatly enjoyed the publishing process so far and is
now poised to create a new website: www.lolajaye.com, the website
of a published author.
