Magazine contributor Crysse Morrison. We are running two week-long short story writing workshops at Finca El Cerrillo, from 28 February–7 March and 4-11 July. Book early to avoid disappointment!
What will the workshop cover?
This course is designed for anyone with an interest in writing short fi ction, whether
for magazines, competitions or personal pleasure, We will use a range of exercises to cover aspects of narration like: getting a good starting point, creating and developing characters, using dialogue, and fi nding resolution. The focus is on fun as well as
discovering techniques, and at the end of the week you will have ideas to develop, a template to adapt, and maybe even a complete fi rst draft ready to edit.
What is included?
- Seven nights' accommodation at the Finca El Cerrillo
- Short story writing course tuition from Writing Magazine contributor Crysse Morrison
- All breakfast, light lunches and evening dinner meals except lunch on the 'free day'. Two evening meals will be held at local restaurants. (If you have any special dietary requirements please advise us when making your booking.)
- Free airport transfers from Malaga airport (1pm and 4pm only) and free return transfers (9am and noon).
- Use of air conditioned studio with printing facilities available

£560 per person (based on two people sharing a twin room)
£450 for partners not taking part in the writing workshops
£650 for single occupancy
A deposit of £150 is required upon booking. Balances are
payable 8 weeks in advance of the course start date.

Tutor
Crysse Morrison is an author and full-time freelance writer. Hailed by The Times as a 'superb storyteller' for her debut novel Frozen Summer, her short fi ction has been published and broadcast, and she writes for First Cut Theatre Company. As spoken word coordinator for the Merlin theatre in Frome, she organises community projects and performs her own poetry in venues in the southwest.
