Writers’ News

of two distinguished cartoonists, Fran Orford and John Jensen.

John Jensen
Sydney-born John Jensen, now living in
London, was the Sunday Telegraph’s political
cartoonist for nearly twenty years. He drew regularly for Punch
from the mid-1970s until it folded in 1992 and also drew theatre
caricatures for Tatler and social cartoons for The
Spectator. He has illustrated 70 books and has had one
book of his own cartoons published, The Only Good Bank Manager
is...; and wrote and edited other books. He also draws
for Tribune and does occasional covers for The
Week.

Fran Orford
Fran Orford is a full-time cartoonist
based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. His cartoons have been
used in over 60 magazines and newspapers in both the UK and
abroad. His strips and editorial cartoons have been featured
in many mainstream publications including The Times,
The Observer, Punch, Private Eye
and The New Statesman. He also works for many specialist
magazines covering a huge range of subjects, these include The
Lawyer, GP and Community Care. His cartoons
are also used in: advertising, newsletters, training materials,
cards and books.
